Click on one of the links below to visit these online stores. It is the only place I can get to within walking distance but it is awful. When I walked in they were giving out free samples of food.

There are much better supermarkets to shop from than this one. A couple weeks ago Ms. Click on one of the links below to visit these online stores.

This Key Food chain is no longer what it used to be after their new management and minor renovation. The are now constantly improving their store layout and pricing for their produce. This chain has also got much cleaner than it used to be making it more comfortable to walk into and shop around. I have been here a couple of times, and had no trouble with any of the staff. This Key Food chain carries: some cooked food under a heater lamp, deli for Boar's Head meat and cheese, various amount of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage, frozen food, canned preservative, fruits, vegetable and boxed snacks. They also have package meat displayed in their refrigerator aisle. I would come back to this Key Food store for any urgent grocery since it is very close to me. Prices are fair and they always have promotions going on. Another neighborhood staple that brings back fond memories of my childhood. LoL, Yes a local supermarket makes me nostalgic for my old childhood neighborhood where I grew up in Flushing! Keyfood was and still is my go to store for something quick and cheap. Whatever I'm cooking and baking, keyfood has it all. The only issue I have with this store in Queens Village is their Bottle Recyle area that always has some plastic or shattered glass on the floor. I can't stand the place, literally! It isn't always the case, but I have seen the place untidy and it makes me want to recyle my bottles elsewhere. This store has been grossly mismanaged as of late. Saw a sale on cage-free eggs and it rang up at the full price. The manager insisted that the normal eggs were the ones on sale even though the sign specifically said cage-free. Instead of admitting that the sign was incorrect, the manager continued to insist that I was wrong. Just a really bad overall experience at this store. There are much better supermarkets to shop from than this one. If I could give zero stars, I would. When I went to check out my card was approved and the money was taken out of my account, but it said declined. The manager who was supposed to help was a complete and utter ASSHOLE and very very unqualified to be a Manager ANYWHERE. They stole my money and left me without groceries. I will NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN. I suggest to do your shopping elsewhere too. This store is often dirty. Milk, dairy meat and other perishables are often bad even though not past the sell-by date. The produce is terrible. The frozen food section has ancient, smelly freezers that aren't keeping the items frozen. It is the only place I can get to within walking distance but it is awful. Stay away from the ATM machines for sure - they are either legit broken all the time or they are scams. Keyfood always has the freshest meats, park, chicken and all are cut by there butchers who know what the best cuts for the best priced without minimizing quality for affordability. The have the best deli counter with the best fried chicken and rotisserie. It is owned and operated by a family who for over 60 yrs I believe have fought to bring there loyal customers only deals to be found here I used to be a HUGE Foodtown fan buying stuff every 3 days... I had realized that they were price gauging the customers. That was it for me... I then went to a Key Food near 212th Street and Jamaica Avenue, but their produce was old. I now only go to Key Food here on Hillside Avenue. The lettuce is always fresh. The manager is cool. If there's an item that you don't see on the shelf... I remember one Valentine's Day evening I forgot an item for a special dinner I was making for my wife. I had 2 minutes before this Key Food had closed. If this were Foodtown or Shop Rite... Thank you Key Food for me not being in a headlock on Valentine's Day. This is one of the larger Key Food Stores in the area. Whats great about this place is that they have a large parking lot in the back. When I walked in they were giving out free samples of food. I'm not sure if this is something they always do but that was really nice and inviting. It appeared fairly neat and clean and there was a wide selection of goods that make sense with the surrounding cultures population. It's also part of a shopping center with a laundromat so you can get also get your laundry done while you are grocery shopping. Another thing is they have large clothing and goods donation bins in the parking lot so you can pass along clothing and other items in your house that you don't use or need anymore. After years of having moved away from the area, I went in today to grab some grocery items for a friend. Pros: There is plenty of parking, prices were decent on the items I purchased, and the store seemed pretty clean inside. Also, the cashier was nice and had a good personality. He argued with me for over 10 mins. The men in this store really makes you feel uncomfortable!! Aww, your browser has JavaScript turned off! Did you know that JavaScript does the following?
